Case study: converting a white-flag station to a major brand

Case study of a white-flag station converting to a major fuel brand: visual implementation, volume impact, ROI and lessons learned.

When a white-flag station in a competitive urban corridor decided to join a major fuel brand, the Petrol Group team managed the complete visual identity implementation and brand compliance approval process.

Pre-conversion situation

Monthly volume: 180,000 liters. Location: busy urban intersection with 3 competitors within 500m, two of them branded. The station’s outdated visual identity was clearly inferior to the branded competition.

Implementation

Petrol Group designed and produced: new canopy fascia in brand colors, pylon totem, pump communicators, column cladding, and attendant uniforms. Total implementation: 45 days. Brand approval: first submission, no revisions required.

Results

Volume at 6 months post-conversion: 224,000 liters (+24%). Visual identity implementation cost recovered in 8 months through margin improvement.
