FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can we help you?
Clear your doubts about Petrol GROUP services. In order to solve your doubts in a simple and uncomplicated way, we have prepared some answers for you.
Owning the land and filling in a questionnaire that we will send you with questions about the design of the spaces you want, the reason for these spaces and the business plan you want to follow. This will allow us to carry out a preliminary survey of the areas and determine what is ideal for the project in a first meeting before we start the project.
Yes, the architect’s role is to plan the space and the larger the space, the greater the work and consequently the cost. We calculate the budget per square meter and divide it into stages after we have assessed the needs of the area based on the land and the completed questionnaire: Preliminary Study, Preliminary Project in 3D and Executive Project with detailing of points, lighting and floor plan;
We develop a Preliminary Study, i.e. the layout options for your petrol station in the areas specified in the contract, with the primary objective of determining the layout of the property, followed by the 3D Preliminary Project and finally the Executive Project, with details of the points, floor plans and lighting.
The ideal period for preparing a consistent and planned architectural project for the future, considering possible long term refurbishments, is 15 to 30 days. Depending on the size of the gas station to be designed, the client’s needs and the production queue, this period may vary more or less.
At each stage presented, the client has the right to discuss the ideas and concepts of the project with our team of architects in order to adjust the expectations and planning of the environments according to the business model to be applied.
If it belongs to a predefined brand such as ONPetro, Petrobrás, Ipiranga, Shell, Taurus, among others, yes. If it is a white flag station, it is also necessary to contract the Brand and Visual Identity with Petrol DESIGN, so you have an exact vision of how your station will look.
In the architectural design of your gas station, already in the preliminary study, we will present the layout of the space, that is, where the refrigerators, gondolas, box, bathrooms, etc. will be located. However, it does not include the decoration of the shop or other environments. These must be contracted separately;
This is the presentation of the pre-designed floor plan of the gas station, with sections and elevations, using 3D photo-realistic imagery to help you understand the spaces and volumes of the gas station.
The main project of a fuel station is the architectural project. Through this project, which follows the standards and legislation in force in each location, the engineers develop the complementary projects. These projects are the responsibility of engineering and not of architecture. Our role is to be in contact with the engineering team you choose to make the structural, electrical, hydraulic, logic and other projects compatible with our executive project.
Permits yes, as long as the quantity and location of tanks and pumps are not changed, however, the renovation must follow the rules and legislation currently in force, that is, stations that still do not have changing rooms, pantry and other items that do not meet these standards, must correct this in the reform. The same applies to the distance between tanks and pumps.
The budget for the creation of design pieces has an estimated value. In order to know the value of the investment, simply contact our company and a Petrol DESIGN sales representative will be at your service and send you the value table.
No, that’s because regardless of the size of the gas station, the elements to be visually developed are the same: logo, front panel, totem, pump/sentinel communicators, convenience store facade, oil change facade and entry and exit flags, among other graphic elements;
It depends on the contracted service package, which may include: brand development, visual identity project with 3D perspective of the station, descriptive memorial, fleet design, creation of employee uniforms, stationery package design, 3D video animation and executive visual detailing, among others.
The Descriptive Memorial is the summarized and easy-to-understand detailing to help budget the image and facilitate the understanding of the materials. It is also used by our client to verify that the execution exactly follows the proposed visual identity created for their gas station.
The ideal period for creating a solid and well-defined visual identity for a gas station is 15 to 30 days. This period of time can vary for more or less, depending on the needs of the client and the production line.
Plan (if available), photos of the location and fill out a questionnaire with questions related to the operation of the gas station, about the local competition of each unit, the history of the gas station and of course about the specifics of the development of the visual identity project of your gas station.
In addition to possible aesthetic changes, whether shapes or colors, once the project is approved, we make a non-binding budget so that the client can have an exact idea of the cost of each element and, if necessary, we make changes so that the best cost-benefit ratio can be obtained for the execution of the project;
The first project for the petrol station requires the development of the network’s identity, that is, visual standard and presentation of this material in 3D. At the other sites, you only have to pay for the adaptation of the 3D image, which averages out at 60% of the original investment.
The client is free to hire any visual communication company to execute the created identity. Remember that it is mandatory to hire a company that is qualified in NR-05, NR-06, NR-18 and NR-35 and that they follow the specifications for bending, cutting, milling and installation. We recommend Petrol Visual, a Petrol GROUP company that serves all of South America, for the manufacture and installation of your visual communication.
The flags choose the colors to apply to their visual communication elements, but they do not own these colors, that is, you can use any color, including the colors that the big flags show, but never on the element in the same way, as this would characterize a serious violation of the industrial and design registrations of this flag. It is worth remembering that ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) or ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) panels come from the factory already painted, so it is extremely important to use standard colors from the suppliers’ catalog to avoid additional costs in the project (applying a new paint over this ACM or an adhesive in the desired color).
The visual communication is carried out by Petrol Visual, which is also part of Petrol GROUP. Petrol Design only develops the visual identity of its network of petrol stations or white flag stations independently, i.e. we only recommend the production and installation with Petrol Visual, leaving it up to the client to choose the company to carry it out.
Depending on the materials and forms used, as well as the place of application, the investment value of visual communication for a gas station can vary considerably. For a detailed and accurate budget, it is important to have the detailed visual identity project in hand.
In the contract, Petrol VISUAL presents the elements to be carried out, the materials and the individual values. Once the contract is signed, we will send our professionals to take the precise measurements on site to start the manufacturing of the elements in the factory, where the customer will be able to follow the progress of the work through a link where we will post photos at each progress of the work. Finally, the installation of all the products on site.
The ideal period for the production of a visual communication for a gas station is 30 to 90 days. This deadline may vary for more or less, according to the size of the station and the quantity of items to be manufactured. If there is a need for shorter and/or differentiated deadlines, it is necessary to evaluate with our production line team the possibility of attending.
Yes. Just like a house, the types of coverings, the application form and the sizes change considerably the values for the execution of the façade. For a better experience and results in visual communication, a well-designed project is essential, in which the team achieves the best possible cost-benefit.
No. However, we receive daily projects that are impossible to execute to make the budget. The elaboration of the project requires that the developer has knowledge in the area of marketing, design, materials and their applications, manufacturing and installation, notions of architecture and, above all, understands how gas stations work.
The interior design of a convenience store can be ordered with or without details. A complete project includes the humanization of the space in 2D, the decoration and creation of furniture in 3D, technical details for furniture production, details of hydraulic, electric and air conditioning points and lighting details according to the elaborated project.
The ideal timeframe for the design of a well-designed store is 30 to 45 days. Depending on the product mix, the size of the store, the client’s needs and the production line, this period may vary more or less.
No, we only develop the internal projects of the stores, it is up to the client to choose the contractor and the carpentry and visual communication team that will do the work;
In the first project for your gas station, you will be asked to develop the identity of the chain, that is, the visual design and presentation of this material in 3D. For the other stations of the network, only the adaptation of the image already prepared in a 3D presentation and the detailing of the items, which will be different due to the different layout and size of each store, will be charged, but not the creation itself.
Yes, we do. We also do interior design projects for bathrooms, oil changes, car washes and other interior environments, which are subject to separate contracts.
